Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

ProteinLog ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

ProteinLog does not collect or store personal data on external servers.

All data you create in the app (such as foods, protein logs, and templates) is stored locally on your device.

If you enable iCloud sync (Premium feature), your data is securely stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit services.

We do not have access to your iCloud data.

2. Data Usage

ProteinLog uses privacy-focused, aggregated analytics to understand app performance and feature usage (for example: screen views, button taps, widget refresh/open events, and purchase flow events).

We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not send food names, meal details, notes, or other personal content to analytics services.

3. Notifications

ProteinLog uses local notifications to remind you about your protein goals and logs. These notifications are generated on your device.

4. Camera

ProteinLog uses the camera only for scanning barcodes to look up food products. No images or video are stored, transmitted, or processed beyond barcode detection on your device.

5. In-App Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple. We do not collect or store payment information.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to third parties.

7. Third-Party Services

When you search for foods or scan a barcode, the app queries the following external services. Only the food search term or barcode number is sent — no personal information is transmitted.

8. Data Security

Your data is protected by Apple's systems on your device and iCloud.

9. Your Control

10. Children's Privacy

ProteinLog does not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes
